“Humans: the Comic Book” by Bernie DeVille

Stop discriminating amongst your perceptions
and it might be discovered that
those insidious ideologies that creep at the edge
of your understanding like scuttling arthropods
just might have the buzz you need outside the
God-Devil
Church-State
Black-White
Us-Them
dualities that bind man to
the maladjusted practice of self-penalization.
That pitifully aggrieved inner child
needs to drink unchecked
from the fire hose of furious information
before getting bounced off the
cliff of uncertainty to see what superpower it has.
Because we all have one.
Some form of tremendous magic
buried in the biology we let culture codify.
Kiss a fire breather.
Hug a diamond soul.
Join the Doom Patrol.
I have every super skill you have never thought of.
I use them every day.
