Succor, a word that conjures care,
blares and jars and sounds of brass.
The kuh-kuh’s harsh and crass.
Even if it’s rhymed with bucker,
chukker, ducker, mucker, plucker,
pucker, sucker, trucker, tucker,
and the obscene motherfucker,
succor provides no solace for the ear.
