When first
we enter the water,
to escape this heat, you tell me
no one has ever been
able to teach you to swim.

I tell you that I am a poet
& a poet must create,
do something positive in life
if there is any generative power
to it.

I create a poem.
You
& water
are my
alpha & omega.

Absent a Nautilus shell
that any poem about sacred geometry
should have, I tell you to relax
& spread you arms,
your legs.

I do not explain
how in that position
you become sacred geometry
as contained in the drawing
of Leonardo Da Vinci.

I feel you relax.
I know you are becoming
the poem I want to write.
Your eyes close.
You become the form of a poem.

I do not disturb you. It is not imprtant
for you to understand the Hermetic tradition
that the human body is a blueprint for the universe,
for the moment is yours alone.

I do not disturb you. It is not important
that Egyptians knew the art of sacred geometry
& how it relates to the universe,
the way Giza plateau
& in particular the Great Pyramid prove.

What is important
above all else, is the fact
that when I let go of you
you do not open your eyes.
You float.
