took a day off
 
finger-like projections
make spheres in the grapevine
growing around these elms.
first mature flower stalk of
mullein presents unborn
flowers.
 
swallow chirps sound digital.
remastered the art of creeping
up on kildeer. i hear them
enough. nice to see them-
put a mug to the sound it makes.
 
an indigo bunting and male
hairy pecker i miss on account
of the dogs running at me.
 
green heron takes advantage;
the bison took a day off
from the field.

      in this case i was walking farmland, ponds on either side, little stands of trees, hawks nests, very nice place, in pleasureville, ky, henry county.
