“In Five and a Half Months, I Will Turn Thirty” by Savannah Sipple

The last few weeks have been pocket change
spent hunting crows and grammar mistakes,
and writing poetry in someone else’s voice in the hopes
I might find mine. How can I talk truth without it becoming
someone else’s lie and how can I breathe deeply
when my body beats like it is on the verge of bursting open?
