“On going home” by Teneice Durrant Delgado

You must have one
to go to. This usually means
your hometown, but I understand this
may be problematic. Everyone has a place,
places, where they grew up, but no one
I love calls Akron, OH home
anymore, so why would I
go back there. Maybe it is the same
for you. An option, then,
is to make a home, one with rooms
full of things, and people, stories
and lives, preferably a good mix of bliss
and devastation.
Then leave it. If you are trying to find
your way home, leaving is a must.
