In the soft light of dawn
Wind across the river flows
Rhythmic lap of water on shore

Now the sun rises on the horizon
Streak of light on water sparkles
Sound of music in my ears roars

That is all the reality there is;
About as good as it gets
And it is good enough

Still, it would be an improvement,
If we were as romantic as in our youth
And you were here to share this moment
