“THAT’S THE WAY IT WAS ALL THE WAY THROUGH” by Melva Sue Priddy

After learning Faron Young’s If You Ain’t Lovin
and Tennessee Ernie Ford’s Sixteen Tons
after learning Hank Williams Hey Good Lookin
I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry and Cold
Cold Heart; after learning Patsy Cline’s  Walkin After Midnight
and the Everly Brothers’ Wake Up Little Susie
from my mother, I went to grade school and
learned Baa Baa Black Sheep, Three Blind
Mice, I’m a little tea pot short and stout
Mary Mary Quite Contrary, Humpty Dumpty
and Hush little baby don’t say a word.
