“Parallax Moments” by Zachary Johnson

I try and relax
sitting kitty
from her—
Monday
midday
meeting,
casual
coffee-shop
encounter;
another
tangent
in view
of a redhead
I remember
from a summer
—eyes
for functions,
shifting
identities,
direct line
of face;
feel this
absorption,
until the angle
is broken.
