“Church Bells in the City” by Robin LaMer Rahija

The bell is round.
The gong is round.
The tone is a wave

the medium of the sky
pushes around downtown.
One comes in

my kitchen window.
Hello wave 1/4 the circle
of your birth place.

hel   lo   Rah   bin
my   clock      is   broke
can’t   stop   ring   ing.

Bummer for us both then.
Your ticker is bad and I
hear my name in waves.
