The last of the snow peas hang

in clusters, mimic the green leaves

outed by new blossoms toppling 

white. Somewhere the snow 

caps a mountain, lakes run

clear blue, reindeer roam. Here 

bees hover for nectar, spread 

pollen. Instinct. That insect brain 

stays the world.
