You’re not as tall, not as underfed thin. The red hair you sported in the middle of our life turned back to blonde before too long, and your breasts are far more to my tastes. Still, the two of you could be confused, if not for twins, at least for sisters. One of you a stranger holding no memories, one of you a ghost presenting far too many.
Really enjoyed this poem! I think we all have those ghosts staring out at us.
And they’re usually of our own invention.
Or we have them hidden, brought out by others who search us & our things to discover them.
After too many fruitless hauntings, I’ve learned to avoid or ignore those searchers. They’re only out to cause pain.

I had to swim in this poem for a while to realize there are three women. I love the line “your breasts are far more to my tastes”! Using the plural of taste makes it so immediate, digs under for the committed reality.
