Mary, I like the short staggered lines for capturing the baby steps, the end rhyme for P.T. discipline, and the alliteration in lines 1,3, 5, and 7 for positivity.

One of the most striking things I notice about losing capacities with age is doubt. I wonder if this person is recovering from something other than old age. Perceptive!
