Take my words
And tear them apart
They’re spat from a mouth
And dribble messily down a chin
Unrefined
Globular, crude
A geode
That needs busted open, critiqued
With a silver hammer and a silver tongue
To reveal crystalline structures within
Tessellated in lilac, rose, white, smoky brown
Rough gemstones –
Attached to sandstone, gritty and plain,
Not meant to be faceted
And placed in the setting of a ring
And onto a finger,
But just as gorgeous
Revelations! What precision!
“Tessellated in lilac, rose, white, smoky brown” – read with pure greed!
And the pink ones are rare and in demand…
