Grasp the heart firmly in one
hand, and with the other, squeeze

the left, then the right ventricle until
satisfactory amount of blood is

reached. Repeat as necessary.
If heart is still disturbed, draw

a small diagram of the circulatory
system and show it to the heart.

Encourage it to trace the veins
and major arteries in purple

crayon. If heart grows frustrated,
switch to pencil and erase lines

as necessary. Repeat. Hearts
may refuse further aid, or cry

if they feel demands are placed
on them. If this is the case,

ask heart to think of the tide,
of washing machine cycles,

the necessary ebb and gush
and repeat, repeat, repeat.
