Accents Publishing is excited to announce our newest chapbook, In Nonestica by Morgan Adams.
Drawing upon myth, folklore, and family history, Morgan’s work—according to Catherine Bowman, author of The Plath Cabinet—manages to “simultaneously delight and terrify. In these remarkable poems, the imaginary becomes real and the real, imaginary.”
Morgan grew up in Lexington, KY, graduated from Berea College, and earned a poetry MFA from Indiana University. To celebrate the release of her first official chapbook, Morgan will be throwing an official release party at Lexington’s own Sqecial Media on Sunday April 28th at 5pm!
In Nonestica is currently available at the Accents Publishing official store and soon at the Morris book shop. If you haven’t yet purchased an Accents book to sign up for Lexington Poetry Month, please consider In Nonestica by Morgan Adams!
“The poems in this exhilarating chapbook show up like eccentric cousins at a family reunion held somewhere on the outskirts of Reality. It is a strange family, an order of strangeness that goes with longing and delight, with imagination and love—a family pretty much like mine or yours. In short, there is much that is lovely to see in this rapt and carefully crafted work.”
-Maurice Manning,
author of The Common Man (2010), Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
