Lexington Poetry Month was a great opportunity to promote the brilliant voices of Lexington, KY. Not only that, but it brought the community together in a way that we hadn’t anticipated, including a huge turnout of people crammed into Morris book shop for the final day. It has been an honor to help our loyal readers and poetry fanatics. And while LPM only happens in June, we plan to continue helping you guys throughout the year.
In order to better serve the community, what do you think the Accents Blog should do? We already have great ideas, including writing prompts and giveaways, but what would you like to see? Do you know any local poets we should interview? If we did, how would you feel about the community providing the questions? What else can we do to make the time you spend browsing this blog worth your while?
Please leave a comment below. And if you see one you really like, reply and give the original commenter kudos for asking it! I promise that I will personally read every comment. And if the comment’s good enough, expect a shout-out whenever your idea gets implemented!
Thanks!

An events page or updates about local opportunities to attend poetry readings, workshops, or other literary events would be great. Spotlights on other local publishers, possibly. A poet of the month feature, with photos, a biography and one or more of his or her poems. Literary magazines Accents loves–what should poets read? Notifications about contests worth entering. Just a few ideas!
These are all great ideas. Thanks so much!
