“No One to Ask for Directions” by Tom C. Hunley

Scotch Tape WorldDo those patches of forest
untouched by man
ever get lonely or
lost inside themselves
with no notion of maps,
no one to ask for directions?
Snow-covered ground no one
ever sees can do anything it wants.
The sun will never know.
There is snow no one notices
and us, melting snowmen
trying to keep the pipes in our mouths
and the organic noses on our faces,
trying to hold it all in.
