It looks like this Thursday is packed as The Lexington Youth Arts Council is having a poetry slam and the second “chapter” of “Pages and Pints” continues at Apollo Pizza in Richmond with Gurney Norman and Ed McClanahan.
Also, while not necessarily a poetry event, The Wild Fig New and Used Bookstore has been having a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo to raise money for expansion. The campaign ends this Saturday, Novemeber 15th, so check out their Facebook page for more information or go straight to Indiegogo.

Started in 2007 by Colin Watkins and Katerina Stoykova-Klemer, Poezia is open to anyone committed to improving their craft.
They meet every Thursday at Common Grounds, and the prose group meets every Tuesday at the same time.
(from Facebook Event page) Join us for a night with legendary Kentucky authors Ed McClanahan and Gurney Norman.
Readings start at 8:00 but guests may want to arrive beginning as early as 6:00 for dinner and drinks before the show.
After the readings the authors will take questions and sign copies of their books. Books will be available for sale at Apollo Pizza the night of the show.
