My sweet salty giving lips run circles around your quivering soul.
In the silence of my mind you dare my heart to live.
Your simple spinning hands upon my supple, yet tired body
make me pause in wonder as I reach to nest your
sweet cheek in the cup of my hand.
There is gentleness beneath your glow that reminds me
our hearts belong to broken, but maybe with time, they can open.
Within these whole astronomies of life and death,
we are waiting, to fall into one another’s arms
so we can catch one another, even though we are falling
from this moment to the next.
