It was a great experience last year–I wrote a bunch of new poems–many of which made their way into print–and connected with a lot of fine writers.
Laurel Dixon has had her poetry published in Tobacco Magazine and Miss’ing Magazine. She spends most of her time reading, gardening, and drinking too much coffee.

It sounds like and excellent opportunity to create a new crop of poems, participate in poetry events, and get more involved in Lexington’s poetry community.
I hold an MFA in poetry from the University of Alabama and live in Lexington, where I regularly fail to produce poems unless under the challenge of a deadline.

i love lexington and its poets and the inferno created from poems bouncing around and into each other, and spreading.
I primarily write non-fiction memoirs/short stories and plays. I act, produce theatre and occasionally independent films. My book June Bug Vs Hurricane is coming out soon!!

I am a big fan of Hap Houlihan and Katerina Stoykova-Klemer, that is one reason. It scares me to death is another! I’d love to challenge myself to write a poem every day in June!
