End of the flight. The aisle fills with us, our
faces toward the door—crowns swirled in dark curls,
slick black swoops, coarse grizzled pepper
and salt, white tufts, silken, thinning—
time-lapse bodies sturdy, bent.
I sit, no longer
in a hurry.
